The plot's rapid development creates a sense of immersion in the series' universe, drawing me into its intricate web of characters and events. I was thrilled to see Paul Gross, my long-time favorite from "Due South", where he played a dashing Mountie, now portray a worn-out, battle-hardened cop seeking redemption. The role is a departure from his earlier portrayal, as this time around, he's not the idealized hero fighting crime with panache. Instead, he's a grizzled veteran of life, driven by a desire to rectify past mistakes and secure a major score at any cost. I'm also grateful for Tori Anderson's presence, which elevates every project she's involved in. While it's true that the show's 1970s setting doesn't quite transport me back to those bygone days - glimpses of modernity occasionally pierce the stylistic veil - I still find myself captivated by the period's fashion, cars and overall aesthetic. In short, "Wanted" is an engaging, compact series with a captivating narrative that I wholeheartedly recommend.
